  • Massandra is famous for its traditions in the production of wine to the whole world. It takes its history of winemaking in Massandra from Count Mikhail Vorontsov, who bought the best grapes from the Spanish and French winemakers who were already famous in this field and brought them to the territory of the Crimea peninsula, and also invited European winemakers to the Crimea. The tribute to the centuries-old traditions of winemaking is reflected in the new collection “Our Traditions” , which includes liquor, table and fortified wines. The label is decorated with the image of the Livadia Palace, the present treasure of the Southern Coast – the last building of the Russian Empire, created for the Romanov family. This is the place where poets, composers and artists drew inspiration. At various times, prominent world politicians and artists were guests of the palace; he repeatedly received conferences and meetings of international level within its walls. It is not surprising that this particular place witnessed many turning points of history and the face of the Our Traditions collection.

Massandra, “Our Traditions” White wine – liqueur wine with a protected geographical indication “Crimea”, made from white European grape varieties. The grapes are grown in the company’s own vineyards, which are located on the rocky slopes of the Crimean Mountains. The warm climate and plenty of sunshine allow the berries to gain maximum ripeness and sweetness. Crop is harvested when the berries reach the optimum level of sugar content. Wine is produced by the method of incomplete fermentation of mash infused on the pulp. To the desired strength of the wine is brought by adding alcohol. Wine is fine as an aperitif or digestif, also goes well with desserts, fruit pies, dried fruits, nuts, blue cheeses.

“Massandra” – a world famous producer of natural wines of excellent quality with more than 100 years of history. He built wine cellars and planted vineyards. In 1900, Massandra for the first time took part in the world famous Paris Exhibition. Then began the era of Massandra wines, which continues to this day. Wine “Massandra” is very diverse: dessert, table and strong. Collection “Massandra” contrary to the ideas of scientists about the wines. They are alive, even long ago passed the time that they measure. The wines of “Massandra” are characterized by longevity, the cycle of ripening and aging of some of them can last more than 100 years. These long and mysterious processes give wines subtlety, originality and sophistication.
