Wine “Villa Rizzardi” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico “- a symbol Ritstsardi wineries, wine, which according to official figures produced here since the beginning of the XIX century, but it is likely that the tradition of its production at the winery goes back to ancient times. Most likely, Antonio Ritstsardi began producing “Villa Rizzardi Amarone” in 1648 after the acquisition of historic vineyards in the foothills of Negrar in Valpolicella. Here, on the brown-reddish lands, with a strong presence on limestone clay cultivated varieties Corvina, Rondinella, Korvinone, Barbera and Sangiovese. After harvest berries are dried for 3 months. slightly dried grapes goes a very long period of fermentation with naturally low temperatures – around 10-12 degrees: alcoholic fermentation is done in steel tanks, malolactic fermentation – in a barrel. Usually the wine is aged for 12 months in barrels 2.25 hectoliters and 24 months in barrels of 25 hectoliters.
Vintage 2008 won the gold medal at the competition “Merano International Wine Award” in 2013.

Winery Gereri Ritstsardi occurred in the Veneto region as a result of the union of two ancient and powerful Veronese wine producers: Gereri graphs, owners of the centuries-old manor in Bardolino vineyards and cellars, and graphs Ritstsardi who bought their vineyards in Negrar in 1678, built shortly thereafter cellar Poyega.
