  • Val di Suga, “Vigna Spuntali”, 2007 – red dry wine from Sangiovese Grosso, grown in the vineyard “Spuntali” in Val di Suga estate. The vineyard is located in the south-west, in the warmest part of Montalcino, at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level. This – the oldest geological region of Montalcino with sand and volcanic soils and special microclimate that makes Sangiovese more energetic, rich, structured, fruity and mellow. Fermentation in Grape passes cement tanks for about 20 days at a temperature of 25-30 C. After 24 months of maturation in 300-liter French oak barrels the wine is bottled and aged for at least 24 months.

    Agriculture Val de Suga, part of the group Tenimenti Angelini, covers an area of 120 hectares, of which fifty are given under vines. The vineyards are located on the opposite side of the hill of Montalcino and capture three exhibitions: the north-eastern (mostly – around the estate), southwest (in the vicinity of Sant’Angelo in Colle) and south-east (near the beautiful monastery of St. Antimo) dominated by vineyards later planting. Ability to use the fruits of three different zones allows Tenimenti Angelini produce very balanced, harmonious, long-lasting wines.
