Wine Petra, “Poggio la Rocca”, Toscana IGT, 2017

Wine “Petra”, proudly bearing the name of its manufacturer, created from a combination of two classic international grape varieties – Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Both varieties are well adapted to the Tuscan soil. Traditional blend combines elegance and softness of Merlot, which is sensitive to drought and therefore prefers hilly terrain, and perseverance Cabernet Sauvignon, who takes the most out of rich fertile soil to get the power of taste and aroma. Harvesting is carried out from late August until mid-September, fermentation occurs naturally in large oak casks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak barrels, only a small part of which – the new. Period of aging in oak barriques is 18 months, after which the wine is bottled and aged for another 18 months.

Special philosophy of wine “Peter” is marked on the label, which shows three circles in vertical progression. They seem to represent the triad of land-sky-man. All the circles intersect, forming a unity, indicating an integral part of each component in the overall system of the relationship between man and nature.
