Wine Peter Zemmer, Pinot Grigio, Alto Adige DOC, 2022

Pinot Grigio, Alto Adige DOC, 2014 – a nice, balanced white wine with fresh fruity character created from Pinot Grigio (100%). The grapes for making wine is grown on the sunny slopes of hills in the region of Alto Adige. Soils of vineyards mostly rocky and sandy, with plenty of limestone deposits. Low yield vines (60 hl per hectare) and organic farming methods, in conjunction with the advantageous location of vineyards, allow to grow grapes of high quality. As a result, wine from Pinot Grigio get very rich, saturated with bright acidity and mineral notes.
The harvest is picked by hand from the beginning to the middle of September. At the winery the grapes gently pressed air pressure and purified through natural deposition of sediment. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 18 C with the addition of natural yeast, which helps preserve the delicate fruit colors, good balance and optimum freshness of wine. After several months of aging on the lees, the wine is bottled. The potential for storing wine is 3-4 years.
