    Wine History Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari began at the end of the XVIII century with Fratelli Folonari, who took on the mission of improving the production and distribution of wines of Italy’s best wines around the world. Since that time, the firm had a lot of ups and downs, different owners, but still Folonari is one of the most representative wine firms in Tuscany. In 1912, my grandfather Ambrogio – Italo Folonari and his brother Francesco purchased the Tuscan company Ruffino, known for the production of Chianti wine in braided straw bottle. At the end of the 60s family Folonari sold by Fratelli Folonari, mainly produces table wines, and began to specialize in the manufacture of wine estate-bottled. In 2000, Ambrogio stood apart from Ruffino and founded with his son holding Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which included the best farms in Tuscany:
    – The estate Tenuta La Fuga, which produces wine Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino;
    – The estate Tenuta di Nozzole, producing Chianti Classico wine, Supertuscan and Chardonnay;
