Pater Familiae, “Heredium” Valle de Colchagua DO – dry red wine from the “Pater Familiae” collection, which was created specifically for the anniversary of the death of the great winemaker Felix de Aguirre. The vineyards are located in a Mediterranean climate: abundant rains in winter and dry summers with sharp temperature fluctuations allow you to get an excellent rich taste and aroma of wine. For the preparation of Heredium wine, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere grapes are used. The berries are carefully sorted and sent to fermentation in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control. Then the wine is aged for 22 months in French and American oak barrels.

The Spanish conquistador Francisco de Aguirre planted a vine in Chile in the 16th century. Further continuing the work of their ancestors, Ana Maria Etcheberri and Pedro Felix de Aguirre founded the Bodegas y Vinedos de Aguirre winery, which adheres to the winemaking traditions of the family.

The company is based in Villa Alegre, in the Maule Valley. Today Bodegas y Vinedos de Aguirre owns 330 hectares of vineyards with modern irrigation systems. The enterprise is equipped with modern equipment for stabilization, fermentation, bottling and labeling of wines.
