Wine “Neroperso” Appassimento Rosso, Veneto IGT, 2021

“Venetie Domini” – a top of the range wines of Valpolicella Negrar cooperative – the largest landowner in the territory of the Valpolicella Classico. “Domini Veneti” – the result of a long-term project for the allocation of the best plots cru, lower yields on them and thereby improve the quality of wines. Domini Veneti name recalls a time when the land was part of the Valpolicella powerful Venetian Republic.

Wine “Domini Veneti” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is made from grapes from the hills of Negrar commune that is located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico production zone. The vineyard has a south-east exposure and is situated at an altitude of 150-350 meters above sea level. Here, on the alluvial and lime-clay soils, the vines grow on the average age of 20 years. With them manually harvested grapes and podvyalivayut it on straw mats or in special boxes for 4 months according to the method called “appasimento.” The fermentation lasts for 30 days in neutral containers. The wine is aged in French barriques for 18 months, then 12 months in bottle. It is recommended to uncork a bottle of wine for at least 2 hours before serving. Wine is ideal for large glasses.
