Wine Marques de Grinion Sirah 2004 is made from grapes Syrah grown in Toledo, in the vineyards owned by the family of the Marquis de Grignon from 1292. Maceration lasts from 4 to 5 weeks, after which the wine is aged in new and one year old French oak barrels Allier Big within 12-15 months.
The wine is made wine complex Domino de Valdepusa owned company Pagos de Familia Marques de Grinon. Dominio de Valdepusa today owns 42 hectares of vineyards. However, at the beginning of its existence, the company had only 14 hectares of land. Over time, the prestige of the winery grew and expanded its territory. Today, the key figures Dominio de Valdepusa are oenologist Richard Smart and, of course, the owner of the company – Don Carlos Falco, thanks to the skills, enthusiasm and technology which wines gained recognition around the world. Winery itself is located in a medieval building of the XVII century, which was completely renovated in 1989 and is equipped with modern air conditioning and the latest equipment. For aging wines in Dominio de Valdepusa use 1200 barrels of French oak. The winery produces five wines: 3 varietal and blended 2, which are exported worldwide.
