Wine La Madeleine, “NarnOt”, Umbria IGT, 2018

La Madeleine, “NarnOt”, Umbria IGT is an exquisite dry red wine made from Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the company’s vineyards on the clay soils of southern Umbria. The vineyards are located in the municipality of Narni, at an altitude of 160 m above sea level. Harvested in mid-September, when the berries reach the optimum level of ripeness. The wine is made according to the traditional red wine technology under the strict control of Riccardo Cotarella, the most famous Italian enologist. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats at a strictly controlled temperature. The wine is aged in oak barriques for 18 months, and then another 12 months – in bottles. The wine will be a great addition to gourmet dishes, game, stew, filet mignon, steak with tartar sauce and roast beef, as well as make an excellent gastronomic pair of pasta, risotto and medium-aged cheese.
