Wine Jordan, “The Real McCoy” Riesling, Western Cape, 2020

“The Real McCoy” Riesling – amazing white wine with a refreshing, balanced flavor and citrus aroma. In the production of wine grapes used Riesling, which is grown on non-irrigated vineyards with the decomposition of granite soils at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level. The average age of the vines is 26 years. Harvesting is carried out in March. Berries are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 15 C. The result is a delicious wine with a perfect balance of freshness and acidity. Wine “Real McCoy” Riesling perfectly complement the dishes of fish, seafood and light salads.

The owners of the winery Jordan Gary and Kathy Jordan is very well aware that South African wines are gaining popularity worldwide. The success of their wine business began with vineyards, occupying an area of 146 hectares and is located on the slopes of the hills so that they go to all four points of the compass: north, south, east and west. Altitude varies between 160 and 450 meters above sea level. In these unique soil and climatic conditions are grown mainly classic varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
