Gewurztraminer grape vines, the harvest of which is made with a great white wine, cultivated by the method of Guyot. Vineyards have southwestern exposure and are located in the municipalities of Montana, Glenn, Pinzano and Mazzon. Soils – clay with a high content of mineral deposits and the different types of pebbles. The height of the vines altitude varies from 400 to 650 meters. Vinification proceeds as follows. After a short maceration of the skin, the must is placed in steel containers, where it is fermented at a controlled low temperature. Then the wine matures in natural lees. Must undergoes frequent batonnazhu – agitated sediment – to temporarily suspend the yeast. Wine is aged 6 months. Gewrztraminer reaches full development only after several months of further aging in the bottle. Vintage 2011 is recommended to use in the period between 2012 and 2018.
