The range of wines “Culemborg” was named in honor of Jan van Riebeeck, who was born in the Dutch town of Culemborg. In June 1651 Jan van Riebeeck was appointed the first governor of the Cape, he established a station on the southern tip of Africa, providing a passing ships with fresh food and water, was the first who planted vines in South Africa in 1655. The line “Culemborg” includes a wide range of wines that have good quality at an affordable price and to convey the true taste of grapes from different regions of South Africa.
“Culemborg” Cabernet Sauvignon – bright and juicy fruity wine with a pleasant fragrant bouquet. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grown in different areas of the Western Cape on sand, gravel and clay soils. Fermentation is carried out in neutral vessels, and then drink a short time kept in large oak casks. Wine storage capacity of up to 6 years.
