Wine Castiglion del Bosco, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is born from a harvest from a unique vineyard “Capanna”, located northwest of Montalcino. The special characteristics of this vineyard, such as natural isolation, optimal altitude and soil, mainly characterized by the presence of shales, give this precious wine a refined elegance and expressive personality. The harvest is collected in the first days of October. Fermentation of the must takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 C for 18 days. The wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barriques and barrels of 30-50 hl. Vintage 2016 will most fully reveal its potential in 2022-2038.
