Dry red wine Casa di Terra, “Maronea” Bolgheri Superiore DOC made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in Bolgheri (Tuscany, Italy). Vineyards with east-west exposure were laid out in 2002-2011. The soils of the plots are of two types: clay-sandy with inclusions of mountain deposits and clay-sandy with a high iron content. Planting density – 5,600 units / ha, yield does not exceed 6,500 kg / ha. Alcoholic fermentation, which lasts 25 days, takes place with the participation of only “wild” yeast in steel tankers with a temperature control of 26-28 C. During the aging of the wine, spontaneous malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine matures for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which 10% are new. After bottling (without filtration), the wine “rests” in cool cellars for another six months.
The wine of the 2016 harvest was produced in the amount of 10,000 bottles. This vintage won an award at The WineHunter Award 2020.
