Wine “Cape Five” Merlot Reserve

The line of wines “Kruger Family Reserve” is devoted to the heritage of the Kruger family, dating back to the beginning of the 1700s, the time of arrival of the first settlers in South Africa. Wines “Kruger Family Reserve” made from the best grapes grown in the region of Stellenbosch, and aged in small oak barrels for 12-24 months.

“Kruger Family Reserve” Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes grown in different vineyards of Stellenbosch (Western Cape), various climatic zones are used to ensure a wide selection of quality grapes. Harvested by hand in mid-February, in the cool morning hours. Grapes from each plot are vinified separately from each other. Cold maceration for 6-12 hours allows you to get optimal contact with the skin of the grapes, after which the fruit is gently pressed, the juice is settled and fermented at 11-13 C. Exposure of wine on the lees lasts, depending on the vintage, from several weeks to several months.
Vintage 2016 won a bronze medal at “Veritas Awards, 2017” and silver at the “Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show, 2017”.
