This line pays tribute to the philosophy of cooperative production and recalls the historical artifacts remain on the territory of Negrar: Lion of St. Mark, placed on a column in the center of Negrar, which is a testament to the rule of the Venetian Republic in the XVI century.

    Origin of dry white wine Cantina di Negrar, Soave Classico can be seen from its name. Soave – the oldest appellason Italy, classified in 1931. The name Soave according to historians associated with the name of the group North German tribes – the Swabians (or Swabians), known as the Caesar at svevi or svebi, and in the Middle Ages – both suavi. The word “Soave” in Italian means “gentle, sweet, nice.” So the word of Dante Alighieri described the wines of the region, as Shakespeare put it in the mouth of Romeo. True it is unclear what exactly it belonged – to the wine, which is drunk with Romeo and Juliet, or to the description of her kiss. Blend wine Soave Classico traditionally includes grapes Trebbiano, Garganega and Chardonnay. Vineyards Cantina Valpolicella Negrar is located in the heart of Soave, at an altitude of 100-250 meters above sea level and have a south-western exposure. Age of vines is 15-20 years. Harvested from the vines by hand in mid-September, after careful selection. At the winery the fruits are crushed and immediately separated from the skins. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16 C and aging wines tested in stainless steel vats. The potential for storing wine is 2-3 years.

    Winery Cantina Valpolicella Negrar was organized in 1933, several small producers uncompetitive. Today Cantina Negrar – an association of 180 winegrowers, one of the largest wine-producing cooperatives in Italy. They advise and coordinate the activities of about 200 owners of vineyards, whose total area is 500 hectares. Old recipes combined with modern innovations that are used with great caution and care – a guarantee of high quality. All the vineyards are located on the hills of Valpolicella Classico region in north-west of Verona. Annual production now stands at more than 8 million bottles of wine obtained from over 60,000 quintals (13 million pounds) of grapes.
