Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG – red dry wine from Tuscany, the “revival” of which was realized in 2010, almost two decades after its last release in 1992. Harvest is collected from vines, whose age is at least 20 years, growing on calcareous soils of alluvial origin with inclusions of clayey rocks. The basis of the blend is the famous Sangiovese variety, complemented by the Colorino variety.
The grapes are collected by hand and transported to the winery in small boxes. After desteylirovaniya and soft pressing, the berries are left for fermentation in oak vats. Fermentation is carried out on natural sediment and lasts about 10 days under controlled temperature conditions. Periodically, the wort is mixed to irrigate the “caps”. The wine is aged in barrels from French or Slavonian oak for 28-32 months. Before you go on sale, Boscarelli, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Rezerva is additionally bottled.
The history of the winery Poderi Boscarelli began in 1962, when Egidio Corradi Marquis de Ferrari decided to take up viticulture and winemaking near Cervognano de Montepulciano. This winery became a family farm, the case of Egidio was continued by his daughter Paola along with her husband Ippolito. Their children, Luka and Nikolo, also work on the farm since 1983. Poderi Boscarelli is located in the historic area of the Vino Nobile – Cervognano. The vineyards of the farm are spread at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level in the southeast of Montepulciano. This area is characterized by a special microclimate, ideal for growing quality grapes. Lands – alluvial, stony and sandy – create good drainage and give the grapes a unique style. The most common variety here is Sangiovese, it accounts for 80% of the total area of the vineyards. The remaining lands are occupied by autochthon varieties – Canajolo, Colorino, Mammolo, and such international varieties as Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah. The wines of Peskari Boskarelli have high ratings and are annually included in the prestigious wine guides “Gambero Rosso” and “Veronelli”.
