Wine “Belguardo” Rose, Toscana IGT, 2022

“Belguardo” Rose – nice pink dry Tuscan wine with hints of fresh fruit in the taste and aroma, which was first created in 2007. This wine is born from the grape varieties Syrah and Sangiovese used in equal proportions and collected from young vines 10 years of age. The vines are grown in the municipality of Grosseto at a height of between 70 and 130 meters above sea level, in areas of southern and south-western exposure, dominated by sand and limestone soils.
In 2013, the harvest began on September 19. Fermentation was carried out at a temperature of 14-16 C, and took 12 hours. Part of the wine was aged in small oak barrels for 4 months. In 2013, produced 35,000 bottles of rose wine “Belguardo”.

Winery “Tenuta Belguardo” was purchased in 1990 awnings Mazzei, who also belongs to the well-known possession “Fonterutoli” in Tuscany “Zisola” in Sicily. Awnings Mazzei played an important role in the history of Tuscan wine: thanks to them in 1398 came the name of the wine “Chianti”. Farm “Tenuta Belguardo” is located in the region between the hills of Maremma Grosseto Monthian and 10 kilometers from the coast.
