Wine Belguardo, “Bronzone” Riserva, Morellino di Scansano DOCG, 2018

Red wine “Bronzone” made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the vineyard in the Morellino di Scansano at a height of 70-130 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand in September. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in small French barriques. “Bronzoni” has good storage potential. Maximum maturity is estimated critics, vintage 2010 will reach by 2017.

Winery “Tenuta Belguardo” was purchased in 1990 awnings Mazzei, who also belongs to the well-known possession “Fonterutoli” in Tuscany “Zisola” in Sicily. Awnings Mazzei played an important role in the history of Tuscan wine: thanks to them in 1398 came the name of the wine “Chianti”. Farm “Tenuta Belguardo” is located in the region between the hills of Maremma Grosseto Monthian and 10 kilometers from the coast. Sub-Region Maremma is not as well known as Montalcino and Chianti, but has great potential.
