  • The wines are produced on the farm Le Mortelle, appeared due out in recent years of thorough research, the choice of varieties and vineyards transplant. The line consists of three farms wine – red “Botrosecco” and “Poggio alle nane”, as well as white wine “Vivia” , which are a vivid expression of the terroir of the Maremma.

Wine “Botrosecco” created from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes were carefully selected during harvest, the winery was isolated from the ridges and crushed. Then berries were placed in a stainless steel container and cooled at 8-10 C for 4-5 days to increase the variety of aromatic characteristics and preserving the integrity of the fruit. Then, beginning with the alcoholic fermentation, the temperature rose to 25 C. Follow maceration lasted 15 days. After pressing, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks until the end of the year along with malolactic fermentation. The wine was handled in barrels where it was aged for 12 months, and after bottling – for some time in the cellars of the winery.

Farm Mortelle farm was part of a larger complex, then on the map of Leopold II in the mid-800s. The farm is located in the heart of the southern Maremma, near Grosseto. It covers 270 hectares, of which 160 are planted with vines, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese and white varieties, such as Vermentino, Viognier and Ansonika. The farm was purchased by the Antinori family in 1999 with the belief that the area is well suited for the production of quality wines. A symbol of the farm, which is also depicted on the labels of wines is Myrtle – wild myrtle, a shrub which is typical for coastal areas. The new cellar at Le Mortelle mostly underground, they were built using temperature control rocks deep in the earth, with great respect to the natural balance.
