Wine Aia Vecchia, “Lagone”, Toscana IGT, 2018

Blend wine “Lagone”, which includes grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, absorbed the features of the Italian terroir and elegance of the great French red wines. Merlot brings a blend of sweet, juicy, fruity notes; Cabernet Franc gives roundness, more fruity, tannin and the ability to extract and Cabernet Sauvignon gives the power and structure. In short, the “Lagon” – a modern high-quality red wine made in Bordeaux style matured in cellars Aia Vecchia for one year in different types of oak barrels and 6 months – in bottles. During this time formed a special soft, flexible and velvety taste of the wine. Vintage 2011 can store up to 2018. Given the youth and the intensity of the flavor of wine, it should be decanted for 45 minutes before use.
“Lagon” 2011 was awarded a bronze medal at the competition “Decanter World Wine Awards” and the “International Wine & Spirit Competition”.

Winery Aia Vecchia is located in the heart of Tuscany – between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci. The name of the farm is named after an ancient castle of the XVI century, located on the farm. Perfect sunny disposition vineyards and favorable microclimate allows to produce high-quality wines. The farm has 48 hectares of vineyards, 30 hectares of which are in Bolgheri DOC. The vineyards are mainly grown red grape varieties – Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Economy annually produces 220,000 bottles of wine.
